This series consists of three mixed-media paintings, in watecolor and colored pencils, depicting an infant’s head, based on a unfinished sculpture.

Working from the same sculptural subject, I explore how changes in light, colour, and medium can alter its visual character and perception. The use of harsh lighting creates strong contrasts between light and shadow, giving the subject different personalities.
